LOCATIONS
- our living-learning grounds:
Tui Community is a 22 year old, 40 member, rural residential community adjoining the Abel Tasman National Park in Golden Bay. Tui has an established orchard, gardens, interesting houses, and a thriving community business. Edible Treecrops Farm is a rural multiple microclimates property with an international reputation as a year-round fruit haven. Established by Dick Roberts more than 30 years ago, it has now changed hands and been extended to encompass an adjoining hillside, recently ecologically engineered for terracing and water harvesting to grow fruit & nut trees.
There will be field visits to other inspirational permaculture properties in the area, during our travels over ‘Marble Mountain’ from one living-learning venue to the other.
Main Tutors: Robina McCurdy and Huckleberry Leonard. For their bios, visit: www.greenworld-earthcare.org
